Sprinkle is a big advocate of content marketing and native advertising. But, saying it is one thing. Where’s the numbers!

There’s tons of research but sometimes it is hard to come by. How do you back-up your content marketing strategy when the boss asks.

  • Content marketing costs 62% less than traditional marketing and generates about 3 times as many leads. (Source)
  • Buyers go through about 57% of the purchasing process before ever talking to sales. (Source)
  • Year-over-year growth in unique site traffic is 7.8x higher for content marketing leaders compared to followers (19.7% vs 2.5%). (Source)
  • Website conversion rate is nearly 6x higher for content marketing adopters than non-adopters (2.9% vs 0.5%). (Source)

If we are to pick some favorites here it would be that content marketing is actually cheaper that traditional marketing and if you combine it with the fact that it is more effective, there you have your answer. Also remember that people spend more than 50% of their time online looking at content. (Source). That would be 2 1/2 hour a day. No TV commercials can beat that.
